- How can I upload a video in the thematic channels of 242movietv and take advantage of the possibility of being widely screened and distributed through them?

Sending us you film is easy! Download the disclaimer here, fill it up completely and mail it to us together with a dvd copy of your work (single file, no chapters, FLV format preferred - if you do so, send another DVD in .vob format in case of public screenings). - What kind of works does 242movietv.com host?

242movietv.com has many thematic channels: documentary, fictional films, video art, animation, music ciders, sit-com, sketch-com… Our selection committee will view all submitted materials and decide if they comply to our quality and content standards (i.e. if they’re not offensive, vulgar or denigratory in any way).

Sport, political, reportage, PSAs, socially oriented videos and the like can be uploaded directly into one of the thematic channels in the section “Videos from the Web”

- How do I register?

Registering to 242movietv.com is easy. Visit the Registration Page and choose your profile “Professional” or “Movie-goer”.

A registration form will pop up. Fill it up in all its parts and follow the instructions (make sure to always double-check passwords and user names). You’ll receive an e-mail with a confirmation link to access the web site for the first time. After you’ve done so you can change your password, update your profile, upload your portrait and complete the registration!

- What should I do to vote a film that’s participating in a contest?

To vote a film that’s taking part in a contest you need to register and complete your profile filling up all of the required fields. We recommend that you read all of the instructions in the contest’s page as they may change accordingly.

NOTE: Star rating does not count as a VOTE (i.e. is not counted for the contest) but simply as a personal rating.

- How can I upload videos from other video sharing platforms like YouTube, Vimeo and the like?

Visit the Registration Page, choose your profile “Professional” or “Movie-goer” and complete your profile. In the navigation box on the righthand side of the page you’ll find “Upload contents”. A new page will open where you can choose to upload a vide, post a log article or your personal photographic gallery.

- How can I delete  my personal profile from 242movietv.com?

To delete please go on your personal profile, click on "Modify" and on the next page just click on the "Elimina account" button you'll find at the bottom.

- My profile has been blocked, why could it be?

If your profile has been blocked it could be because you’ve filled the registration fields with improper or offensive language. Another reason could be because you activated more than one profile from the same IP address, or because you’ve uploaded vulgar or derogatory videos, photos or blog articles.

- What should I do if I forget my password?

If you need a new password click here but be sure to carefully read these instructions first!

Once the “Forgot my password” form has popped up insert the same e-mail address you used during the registration process. You’ll then receive an e-mail with a temporary courtesy link that will allow you to access the website and change your password. The link will be available for 242 hours only, after which you’ll have to repeat the procedure. For any further info please contact us here.

- How do I subscribe to your newsletter?

Our newsletter keeps you updated on festivals, events, new contests and the new activities we are planning to help you make your work visible to the world. It will come in your mail box every two weeks, but if you do not wish to receive it please contact us through this form.
