242 Movie TV and LifeGate invite you to take part to “December 22, 2012 - Good Morning Planet Earth”, a video contest open to all directors, filmmakers and video makers and their ideas on spreading an environmentally friendly life-style and awareness, through a viral video.

“Every day we hear conjectures on how the world is going to end, according to the Maya culture, on December 21, 2012, and how every living creature on earth will be instantly wiped out. Global catastrophes scare humans more than everything else: Meteor storms, tsunamis, earthquakes, the South and North Poles inverting, gravity loss, cosmic radiations and the like, but very few seem to realize that all this is already happening. And it has little or nothing to do with Science Fiction…”

Our cities are struggling with pollution, water resources get scarcer every day, the oceans are seeing their population going vertically down, the forests give way to deserts or urbanization and, what’s even worse, our governments are investing in nuclear energy instead of turning to green and renewable resources.

Sure that on December 22, 2012 we will wake up just like any other morning, finding the North pole right where it’s supposed to be, we deem it necessary that each one has to give their contribution to somehow protect OUR environmental resources. This video contest is our way to help!”
