The “242 Short Film Festival - 4th edition” is an International Short Film Contest; the festival is produced by ICS Company Ass. Cult. and Slup Tv S.r.l. together with: CinecittàLuce – Maremetraggio – Scuola di Cinema di Roma

Time frame: the festival will take place in December 2010 at the “Casa del Cinema” in Villa Borghese, Rome, Italy. It will include public screenings and Workshops. The on-line section of the contest will take place in October and November 2010 on www.242movietv.com.The Award Ceremony for both sections will be held on December 5 during the closing evening of the festival.

“242 Short Film Festival” Section: This section is open to all International Directors. Short film length should be less than 30 minutes. The works will be screened to a public audience and judged by an artistic jury nominated by ICS Company and Slup Tv s.r.l.

“No boundaries” Section: it’s a non compulsory on-line section of the festival. All works submitted to the “242 Short Film Festival” may take part under to the on-line competition after the director has granted his/her permission to upload the video on the web site. The 1.000€ Prize will be awarded by the 242movietv.com on-line community (i.e. by all its purposely registered users), through a web-based poll.

Awards: The artistic Jury award consists of a 5.000€ first prize and the participation to the “Maremetraggio Film Festival”; The Community award consists of a 1.000€ first prize; the Emerging Talent Award consists of a grant to attend an Avid Certified Course to be held at the Scuola del Cinema di Roma.

Terms of participation: Taking part in the 242 Short Film Festival DOES NOT entail the participation to the on-line section of the competition.
